STATE CRIMINAL DEFENSE
A criminal charge in Florida can put your freedom, your record, and your future in immediate jeopardy. The right response is not panic — it is preparation.
Felony Defense
Florida felonies range from third-degree offenses to life felonies, and the stakes climb quickly. We handle serious felony matters with the investigation, motion practice, and trial preparation they demand.
- Third-degree through life-felony accusations
- Pretrial and dispositive motion practice
- Defense investigation and expert consultation
- Negotiation and trial advocacy
How We Approach Felony Cases
Serious felony cases demand early exposure analysis, independent investigation, focused motion practice, and trial preparation that begins before negotiations.
- Identify the charged degree, enhancements, sentencing scoresheet, and collateral exposure.
- Preserve evidence, interview witnesses, and examine digital or forensic proof.
- Litigate suppression, dismissal, discovery, and evidentiary issues where supported.
- Use trial-ready preparation to evaluate every resolution and courtroom option.

First Offenses & Diversion
In some eligible first-offense cases, the State Attorney’s Office may offer Pretrial Intervention (PTI), a diversion program with supervision and conditions that must be completed. Successful completion can lead to dismissal of the charges; acceptance and requirements depend on the local program and the individual case.
Read about the program where the case is pending:
- PTI in Pinellas and Pasco Counties — Sixth Judicial Circuit
- PTI in Hillsborough County — Thirteenth Judicial Circuit
